Waiting

Anticipation is everything. Turning 21 is exciting. It's not that I haven't had access to alcohol, but it will be a wonderful privilege to be able to order a glass of wine with dinner in a restaurant or walk through a liquor store without having to prove I'm with a parent or legal guardian. It's also a lot of fun because my parents are throwing me a party and everyone who cares about me is going to be there. Actually, I'm not sure that's entirely accurate because college kids are wishy-washy as to what their actual plans will be, but everyone outside of college of consequence that has been a part of my life will be at the party. I'm even going to have a real bartender and I have a new dress. I'm wishing that I could fast forward time a few days to get to Saturday. Forget school, work, and standing in line to renew my license. I want to have a party!
